WSK OUTLINES THE FORMULA 4.
The first season of the Italian Formula 4 is developing fast. Teams are eager to take part in the Italian Aci-Csai championship promoted by WSK Promotion. The organisation is in full swing and its main aspects have already been outlined.

ALL THE DETAILS OF THE NEW ACI-CSAI F.4 CHAMPIONSHIP.
The first procedure to be carried out is filling the entry form to the Championship. The entry fee amounts to 9,500 € + VAT and gives you the right to participate in the 7 rounds of the Championship and in the two test-days at the International Raceway of Adria and at the “Piero Taruffi” Raceway in Vallelunga. The new Championship offers to its participants a full live TV coverage of all the races guaranteed by Rai Sport, the implementation of the transponder service, the tutoring of instructors of the Aci-Csai Federal School. Entrants will be also provided with a fire-proof official overall and with the entry pass for the events. In all the events, the participants will be able to use the WSK hospitality centre, where they will find the race secretary and the information point. Always at the hospitality centre, it will be possible to visualize race timing, collect official standings and get copies of the WSK Magazine for each event. Aci-Csai will pay 2,500 € to the manufacturer Tatuus for each entrant to provide the sequential gearbox with steering wheel-mounted controls. The entry fee for each round amounts to 715 € + VAT plus 480 € + VAT to take part, during the same event, in the two 40-minute long free practice sessions.

A DEMANDING RACE FORMAT FOR THE FORMULA 4.
Each event will begin with two 40-minute long sessions of free practice followed by two 15-minute long qualifying sessions. Drivers will take part in three races: two of them will last 28 minutes plus one lap and one will last 18 minutes plus one lap.

The first qualifying session will outline the starting grid of the first race. The final standings of the first race will be the starting grid of the second race. In this race, the shortest of the three, the first ten drivers will start with inverted positions. Then, the second qualifying session will outline the starting grid of the third and last race of the weekend. The first ten positions of the longer races score points according to the sequence 25 – 18 – 15 – 12 – 10 – 8 – 6 – 4 – 2 – 1. In the shorter race only the first 8 positions score points according to this sequence 13 – 11 – 9 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 2 – 1. The fastest lap of each race awards 1 further point. A special regard is reserved to the overall fastest driver of the two qualifying sessions: he will get 5 further points. The telemetry of the performance of the pole-sitter will be analysed by the instructors of the Aci-Csai Federal School, together with all the drivers during a technical briefing. Drivers will have to learn how to look after their tyres (controlled with the parc fermι tyres system), knowing that they have one fresh set of tyres and one set of tyres used in the previous round for their free practice. Only for the first round they will have two sets of fresh tyres at their disposal. For the rest of the weekend - from qualifying to race 3 - drivers will have 6 fresh tyres (3 front and 3 rear tyres).

THE FORMULA 4 FORMAT BY WSK PROMOTION.
We know that Formula 4 has been conceived for drivers who start competing in car-racing at a very young age, immediately after karting experience. So, the Italian Aci-Csai Championship is dedicated to them, with a standings reserved to drivers aged 15-17. At the end of the Championship, the winner will be the new Italian Formula 4 Champion. Drivers aged 18 or more, on the other hand, will take part in the Aci-Csai Formula 4 Trophy, which will be awarded separately. The prize money, provided by Aci-Csai, is appropriate to the relevance of the event: a total amount of 50,000 € will go to the drivers. 40,000 € will be awarded to the winner of the title who, at the end of the season, will join - together with the runner-up - the Super Course of the High Speed Federal School in Vallelunga circuit. Money will be awarded also to the winner of the Aci-Csai Trophy, who will get 10,000 €. In the meanwhile, the single-seater cars are being assembled and the date of their delivery to the participants will be announced by Tatuus next week. After that, the F.4 race calendar - which has already been communicated - will be confirmed. Also the new website dedicated to the Italian F.4 will be launched soon.

THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE ITALIAN F.4 CHAMPIONSHIP.
