With just a couple of laps without safety car Kanayet takes full advantage of pole position
Imola 20/09/2015 – With inverted starting grid from the first 10 of race 1, it is Kevin Kanayet (Malta Formula Racing) to start from pole position. At the start Kanayet manages to keep first position, while Giuliano Raucci (Prema Power Team), second on the grid, has soon engine problems and has to go in the pit lane. So behind Kanayet is Alex Peroni (Torino Squadra Corse), third on the grid.
The race is strongly influenced by an accident of Joao Vieira (Antonelli Motorsport), who soon goes out of track at high speed (with no consequences). Safety car enters the tracks and finally leaves it just before the final lap.
Last lap is very intense, seeing Kanayet resist, with good concentration, to the attacks of Peroni.
Third is Diego Bertonelli (RB Racing), fifth on the starting grid. The leader of the Championship, Ralf Aron (Prema Power Team), is fourth, followed by teammate Guan Yu Zhou.
Race 3 will close the weekend with start at 16.55.
