Press release no.14 / 2016

Misano 10/04/2016 – The Final Race, just like Race 3, was a real battle for the top places, those immediately after and for the groups. The winner was Marcos Siebert (Jenzer Motorsport), who took the lead on lap 7 and stayed there until the finish line.

Behind him was the newcomer Juri Vips (Prema Powerteam) who, after his third place in Race 3, took another step forward and once again won the Rookie Trophy. In third place was Guzman (DR Racing): after leading the race for six laps he slowed his pace and lost two places.

Kush Maini (BVM Racing), who made a great comeback from 14th place at the start, managed to come fourth, but due to a penalty after the chequered flag became 8th. So Mick Schumacher (Prema Power Team), who started in pole position but had problems at the start and found himself in 17th place and then recovered to finish fourth. He also achieved the fastest lap 1:35.034.

Van Uitert (Jenzer Motorsport) came fifth, with Vieira (Antonelli Motorsport) sixth, followed by Hasse Clot (Kiteviola Motorsport), Kush Maini (BVM Racing), Iribarne (Torino Squadra Corse) and De Francesco (Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport).

It’s a shame there was a contact between Simone Cunati (Team) and Juan Correa (Prema Power Team): they were battling for first place but they both had to retire after the crash.

In the Rookie Trophy, Juri Vips once again came first, followed by Maini and Giacomo Altoè (Bhaitech).

The next event is on 8 May in Adria, on the Adria International Raceway, for the second racing day of the season
