The Venezuelan (who also leads the Rookie Trophy) will start ahead of everyone in both race 1 and 2. Hoogenboom and Vips were second quickest in the first and second sessions respectively.
 
 
 
 
Monza 29/10/2016 – Double pole position for the Venezuelan Sebastian Fernandez  (Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport) at the Monza circuit, with a time of 1’53”264 in the first session and 1’52”649 in the second. Beside him in Race 1 will be Leonard Hoogenboom (Cram Motorsport), followed by the German Mick Schumacher (Prema Power Team), the Indian driver Kush Maini (BVM Racing) and the Estonian Juri Vips (Prema Power Team). In sixth position will be the Italian Diego Bertonelli (Bhaitech), ahead of the Chinese driver Ye Yifei (Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport), the Italians from the Bhaitech team Lorenzo Colombo and Giacomo Altoè and the Mexican Raul Guzman (DR Formula). Outside the top ten, in 11th position, the leader of the championship, the Argentine Marcos Siebert.

 
 
In Race 2, behind Fernandez and Vips who will start on the front row of the grid, are Guzman, Lorenzo Colombo, the Russian Artem Petrov  (DR Formula), Mick Schumacher, Ye Yifei,  Marcos Siebert (Jenzer Motorsport), Hoogenboom and Bertonelli
 
 
It’s worth noting that Rookie drivers occupy 4 of the first 5 positions. Additionally, in the first qualifying session the first 20 drivers were covered by less than one second.
 
 
 
Fabienne Wohlwend (DR Formula) was first in the Women’s Trophy thanks to her 22nd place in the first qualifying session and 25th place in the second session.  
 
The programme continues tomorrow, Sunday October 30, with Race 1 (over a duration 28 minutes + 1 lap) at 8:50am. Race 2 (over a duration of 28 minutes + 1 lap) gets underway at 12:30, with Race 3 (18 minutes + 1 lap) at 16:30.
