The Dutch Van Amersfoort Racing BV is a very welcome rookie team for the upcoming season of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth. At the season opener at Misano World Circuit, the drivers for the team will be three: the British Louis Gachot, the Canadian Kami Laliberté and the Brazilian Felipe Drugovich.
If asked to explain the decision to compete in the F4, Van Amersfoort answer is: “when a young driver earns his laurels in karting and contemplates the possibility to climb all the way to the highest ranks of the sport, a question arises: before fulfilling his dream, what comes next on the ladder? Launched in 2014, the FIA Formula 4 has been created to offer drivers around the world the opportunity to take the first step from karting into the world of single-seater racing”.
