Fittipaldi starts from pole and maintains first position along all race 1, while at his back Lonardi comes up to second position; third is Malvestiti
22/04/2018 – Enzo Fittipaldi (Prema Theodore Racing) start from pole position and wins race 1 of the first 2018 ACI Racing Weekend. The race has though challenges for the young Brazilian talent, due to two safety cars. The first actually is on track just after first lap, while the second intervenes around 3 laps from the end of the race.
At this moment Fittipaldi gaines quite a few seconds of advantage on second placed Federico Malvestiti (Jenzer Motorsport), and an amazing Leonardo Lorandi (Bhai Tech Racing), third and in strong recovery from fourth row starting position, with overtakes of a real champion, as the one with blocked front tyres on Gianluca Petecof (Prema Theodore Racing) 10’ from the end of the race.
Fittipaldi manages to keep first position after restart of second safety car and also gain advantage on direct followers. In the meantime Lorandi, helped by the safety car that has compacted the group, overtakes Malvestiti after a few curves from the restart and a few minutes from end of the race.
In the Rookie Trophy, reserved to those drivers that have not raced in more than 3 racing weekends before the start of the championship, first is Gianluca Petecof (Prema Theodore Racing), second Petr Ptacek (Bhai Tech Racing) and third Umberto Laganella (Cram Motorsport).
This afternoon race 2 will start at 13:00 and race 3 at 17:00.
