The driver of Bhai Tech Racing conquers two wins and one fourth position that give him the lead of the Championship
03/06/2018 – After a slight stop at the second appointment in Paul Ricard, due to tough qualifying and wet conditions, Leonardo Lorandi is back roaring in Monza, the temple of speed, showing maturity and consistency. After great qualifying, where he is first and second in the two sessions, Lorandi wins race 1 in front of Olli Caldwell (Prema Theodore Racing), also very strong in this ACI Racing Weekend, and Giorgio Carrara (Jenzer Motorsport), who achieves his best performance.
In race 2 it is William Alatalo (Muecke Motorsport) who obtains a fantastic win with effective and clean overtakings, generating no accidents, which have instead been very common in this racing weekend, rich of safety cars. In race 3 it is once again Lorandi to win, second on the grid behind Gregoire Saucy (Jenzer Motorsport), who had had a big accident in race 2 (with no physical injury). The Italian driver has really shown strength, conquering the leadership at the start and maintaining it throughout the race, even though safety car has entered the track more times compacting back the group.
Among the rookies, great performance by Petr Ptacek (Bhai Tech Racing), who obtains sixth absolute position in race 2 and a great 4th in race 3, both times first in the Rookie category.
Championship standings see Leonardo Lorandi new first with 143 pts, followed by Olli Caldwell with 120 and Enzo Fittipaldi (103). In the Rookie Trophy Petr Ptacek (150 pti) is first, also taking advantage of the absence of Gianluca Petecof (Prema Theodore Racing), now second, and not competing due to an injury during tests. Third is Umberto Laganella (Cram Motorsport) with 98 points.
