After already setting a first seasonal record in the opening round of this year at Misano, Italian Formula 4 is once again ready to reshuffle the order of things, breaking every category record. At the Temple of Speed in Monza, the third of seven rounds in the 2026 season, 49 Tatuus cars will be ready to hit the track.

Once again, the championship confirms an extremely high competitive level, with drivers coming from all over the world and 13 teams lining up Tatuus chassis running on Pirelli tyres.

The provisional entry list sees German outfit US Racing, which moved to the top of the team standings after the second round, arrive in Monza with the “flying Finn” Luka Sammalisto, winner of three races at Vallelunga. “The mindset doesn’t change for me, it has been the same all year. I want to win the championship and I really hope to do it. At Vallelunga we scored a hat-trick and we will try to repeat it in Monza.” Also part of the line-up are Edward Robinson, Noah Killion, Oleksandr Savinkov, Sicilian driver Ludovico Busso, Indian driver Ary Bansal and German driver Arjen Kraling. A total of seven cars on track for a full-scale attack on the points on offer at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

The Prema Racing line-up, currently second in the standings, will feature championship leader Alp Aksoy, McLaren Development Programme driver Christian Costoya, Ferrari Driver Academy member Niccolò Maccagnani, Williams Driver Academy driver Oleksandr Bondarev, as well as Roman Kamyab, Chinese driver Kingsley Zheng and Romanian driver David Cosma-Cristofor. The latter, still chasing his first win after taking podiums in both previous rounds, had already warned about the unique challenges of the Temple of Speed, where slipstreaming will be one of the key factors shaping race strategy: “In Monza everything will be different, the track doesn’t allow you to break away.”

Third force of the 2026 season, Maffi Racing, the Swiss outfit with Eritrean roots, continues to impress. David Walther, already a three-time podium finisher this year, will lead the team alongside rookie Rosane Den Drijver. The Dutch driver will become the first from her nation to race for the team: “We are incredibly happy to welcome a new driver to the team and we cannot wait to see her race at the Temple of Speed.

Van Amersfoort Racing will field Polish driver Alexander Ruta, Pedro Lima and Thomas Bearman, younger brother of the Formula 1 driver who claimed the Italian F4 title with the Dutch outfit in 2021.

Jenzer Motorsport will field four cars with Levi Arn, Elia Weiss, Nicolas Cortes and Bader Al Sulaiti.

Five cars also for French team R-ace GP, featuring Mercedes F1 Junior Programme drivers Andy Consani and Kenzo Craigie, alongside Tamas Gender and the female drivers competing for the Women’s Trophy Payton Westcott and Emily Cotty.

PHM Racing also responds with five entries, fielding Oscar Repetto, ACI Team Italia driver Iacopo Martinese, Estonian driver Roland Kuklane, Alexander Chartier and Austrian driver Emma Felbermayr.

Among the home teams at Monza is also Trident Motorsport, with Florentin Hattemer, Agustus Toniolo, Bernardo “Beco” Bernoldi, Dominik Simek and Lyuboslav Ruykov.

Real Racing will once again field the Danish driver Knud Nielsen as a solo entry, already competitive in the early rounds of the season and ready to strike again at the Temple of Speed.

Meanwhile, Alpha 54 Racing reshuffles its line-up, returning to the grid with two Argentine drivers. This time, alongside Federico Diaz Quaglia, there will be Ignacio Diaz Morel Vulliez.

Four cars for the San Marino-based AKM Motorsport, led by the Antonelli family, with Evan Michelini, Fabricio Fogaca and ACI Team Italia driver Vittorio Orsini. The team will also welcome George Proudford Nalder for his season debut in the Italian F4 Championship.

A trio of cars for Cram Motorsport, the Lombardy-based outfit, with Simon Rechencmacher making his first appearance in the championship alongside Brazilian driver Rafaela Ferreira, the first female driver to race under the Visa Cash App RB colours, and American driver Andre Rodriguez.

Monza will also mark the Italian F4 debut for Zengo Motorsport, which in 2025 competed in the F4 European series taking part in the E4 Championship at Paul Ricard. The team will be represented by Hungarian driver Gaspar Beni.

The road to Monza continues with exciting news adding even more spectacle to a packed weekend featuring 12 races on track and numerous fan activities animating the Fan Zone. From simulators to dedicated food areas, the ACI Racing Weekend will offer entertainment for all, with free entry for spectators.

The event will feature four races, three qualifying races and a final reserved for the top 36. Track action begins on Thursday 18 June with collective pre-event testing from 11:10 to 13:10 and again from 16:10 to 18:10.

Friday 19 June will host free practice sessions, with drivers split into two groups (Group 1 from 9:28 AM to 9:58, then 12:58 PM to 1:28 PM; Group 2 from 10:06 AM to 10:36 AM and 1:36 PM to 2:06 PM). In the evening, qualifying will take place with Group 1 on track from 5:10 PM to 5:30 PM and Group 2 from 5:40 PM to 6:00 PM. Based on these results, drivers will be divided into three groups and the grids for the first three races will be defined.

From Saturday 20 June, the qualifying races begin: Race 1 (groups B-C) starts at 11:30 AM, followed by Race 2 (groups A-B) at 5:30 PM. On Sunday 21 June, Race 3 (groups A-C) starts at 9:30 AM. After the first three races, the top 36 drivers will qualify for the Final, scheduled for 2:00 PM. All races will last 25 minutes plus one lap and will award points for all championship standings.

The races will be broadcast live on ACI Sport TV, on the social media channels of ACI Sport and the Italian F4 Championship, as well as through a wide international broadcaster network covering the Formula 4 series.
